Elepho is a 5 piece alternative rock band from Auckland NZ.
They formed in 2001 in Auckland New Zealand. Originally named "Last Flight Out (LFO)", they changed their name in 2007 although it is still pronounced 'LFO'.
The band consists of:

Connery Faire - Vocals, Bass & Flute
Spider - Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
Tony Weller - Lead Guitar
Jay Tamaseu-Williams - Bass Guitar
Individual Bios
Joe Teinakore is 24 years old and has been playing drums since age 10. In addition to drums he plays bass, trombone, trumpet and keyboards. He was part of several brass bands as a child and was the drummer for Generator (Alternative Rock,) Munrah (Hip-Hop/R&B/Funky Soul) and Midas (Metal) before joining Elepho in 2001.
Connery Faire is 37 years old and has been singing since childhood. At age 11, she began playing flute. In 1999 she recorded and co-produced her first album for her solo career ‘The Contrasts of life’ (Christian Rock). In 2000, she became a backing singer for the Morgan Tyler Band (Country). In 2005, she learned to play bass. She Co-Founded Elepho in 2001.
Spider is 43 years old and has been playing guitar since age 13. Spider began his musical career as a left-handed classical guitarist, pianist and piano-accordionist. Later in life he chose to re-learn guitar as a self taught right handed guitarist. Spider was the rhythm guitarist for the band “The Moomphs” (Blues/Pop/Rock) in Australia before Co-Founding Elepho in 2001.
Tony is 38 years old and has a lifetime of playing experience (24 years). Hailing from a diverse band background including Rock covers and original bands, church bands and an acoustic duo, Tony plays rock, acoustic rock, and enjoys Middle Eastern Indian sounds. Tony is a left handed guitarist who learned to play after being inspired by Eddie Van Halen. He joined Elepho in 2008.
Jay is 20 years old and is a multi instrumentalist playing bass/guitar/drums and piano. He has been playing bass for 8 years and joined Elepho in 2008. Formerly of the bands "Representatives of Christ" and "Native Diversity" Jay comes from a background of Hip Hop, R and B, and Blues but now enjoys his new roll as a rock bassist.
