The West Coast Walking Club is serious about walking. The WCWC were formed in 1987 in Pukekohe, New Zealand to foster fun and companionship in walking and to promote House, Drum, Folk & Bass music and also Hip Hop events. Our walks are fun events where all who participate are winners. Our goal is to get outdoors, exercise without competition, meet new friends, and enjoy the fresh air, and to stride to sucess. Our companionsship also includes Nifty music with collaborations from musical artists such as : THE 267 RUTHLESS CLAN, The late SYRUS, and also includes a fun look at a magical group The Mint Chicks and World awesomeness Mr JOHNNY CASH. WCWC events are non-competitive and open to the public. Toothless walkers: $3.00 fee, NON-toothless walkers: $2.00. The WCWC book "Starting Point" lists the "Let’s get a walkin Homie" and Seasonal event start points held all over the Block (Morningside, Pukekohe, Manurewa and Gore). The book also explains the WCWC record keeping and award system (WCWC was the winner in overall music at the Walking Champion ships in 1994 and 2002, and 2007. The WCWC publishes an informative bimonthly newspaper "How to git Ya Walk on" which lists members’ event and distance milestones along with walking articles and upcoming walks, songs and events in the New Zealand region (and worldwide but the real walkers know that one). So keep going for it. Stride to be a winner with winning music and not everyone can win but at least you have winning music that can make you feel like you’re a winner! YAY!!!!!!!!
