DAY3 are a three piece band based in the Waikato, New Zealand and are firmly established in the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal genre that consists of front man/guitarist/vocalist Stewart Murray, bassist/backing vocalist Duane Sutherland, and drummer Deni Vanin.

DAY3 formed in the summer of 2005 with the style of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal as their foundation. This genre has always been a huge influence on each individual band member, also with the view that the American genre of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal has always largely been untapped in New Zealand.

As recently as June 2008 DAY3 claimed a 1st place ranking in the Axces Bar "Rattle the Room", Battle of the Bands Competition, which brought together many bands from all over the north island.

Entering the World Battle of the Bands in 2006, DAY3 took away BEST SONG WRITER 2006, BEST DRUMMER 2006 and a 4th place standing in the national finals, which was a testament to the 6 months of hard work they put into it.

DAY3 continually works on evolving the musical style that they create by remaining open to new ideas and listening to the latest trends both local and international.

DAY3 as a band has huge marketing and live performance potential combined with the raw "X" factor that is needed to help reshape the New Zealand Hard Rock and Heavy Metal scene.

DAY3 are currently distributing a four song demo CD to gain funding and/or radio play. The four song demo currently captures the broad musical concept DAY3 is all about.
