Barry Holt is a Te Whanganui a Tara based musician. As a singer songwriter he performs on 12 string acoustic guitar and nylon stringed folk finger picking style. His output is best described as eclectic. No two songs are ever the same.
He also writes and performs original works for the Classical guitar. Blending such disparate styles as Spanish, South American and Traditional Folk idioms, in a way that is truly unique. Other areas include Music and Hypnosis, a collection of soundscapes that explore the relationship between music and metaphor. His latest work is a collection of instrumentals that pay subtle homage to some of his favourite film genres and composers.
