"Ant is the Alpine Fault front man. With years of classical piano training behind him, he picked up a guitar one day at the age of 14. Since then, he has been in various bands including Auckland Grammar School band "Late Harvest"
The band competed and took first place in the Auckland regional finals of the 1998 xtrasmokefree Rockquest but disbanded soon after. Seven years, and several bands later he decided to take things into his own hands recruiting the members of Alpine Fault.
At first, Ant had no intentions to be the lead vocalist for Alpine Fault. But after jamming with various female artists, the music seemed to take on a darker, heavier direction and it was decided that he would (reluctantly) take on the role of vocals.
His guitar style reflects an assortment of influences including James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Dave Mustaine and the late Darryl 'Dimebag' Abbott. Always looking to release the next chunky riff within, Ant's playing is emotional and reeks of personality."
