Born in New Zealand, I started Learning Guitar at age 15 by taking piano lessons and putting them on the guitar. I grew up in a small rural town named Foxton. No Guitar teachers were to be found in this area so I was self taught.

1991 Deep Red Sea. Pop Rock Band sponsored by the Queen Elizabeth II Arts council to tour Whole of New Zealand and give concerts and workshops to students and teachers.
1991 Wonderland. Rock band playing Kings X to Fritz Kriesler. Opened for White Cross.
1991 Dougal Whipdance. Playing a similar mixture to Wonderland.
1993 The Edge. Wellington Covers Band.
1994 Amsterdam Rock Band No Longer Music. Opening for a number of concerts as support with the Sean Clancy Show.
