At last we have some much-needed good news! As restrictions begin to lift and people dream of days when we can dance again, Bluesfest Touring has been hard at work along with artists’ management to ensure there will be a future for international touring in Australia and New Zealand in 2021, and with the space of a good ten to twelve months we can be confident – we will dance again!
Bluesfest Touring is thrilled to announce that The Godmother of Punk is still very excited to return! Patti Smith and Her Band have confirmed that both the Christchurch and Auckland dates have been rescheduled, with the Christchurch show on 25th April 2020 at the Town Hall now taking place on Wednesday 7th April 2021, at the Christchurch Town Hall. Meanwhile Patti’s Auckland dates have been to Thursday 8th April 2021 at the Town Hall, Auckland.
Bluesfest Touring are also thrilled that The Marcus King Band will also be returning to New Zealand in 2021, with his revised date now Thursday 8th April at the Powerstation, Auckland.
Ticket-holders are advised to check their inbox (and spam) for more detailed information from the ticket provider.
Meanwhile Morcheeba, Allen Stone and Eagles of Death Metal are among the artists that are pending possible rescheduled dates for New Zealand. Stay tuned!
For the full list of confirmed talent returning for reschuled Australian shows in 2021, go to Bluesfest Touring, the question is – does this mean they will also be returning for Bluesfest 2021?
