COAST CELEBRATION!
Whirimako Black drops into the studio to celebrate Matariki (Maori New Year) Whirimako is just completing an album of cover versions of evergreen classics, done in both English and Te Reo Maori. On COAST she performs ‘Georgia’ (made famous by the late great Ray Charles) and ‘Stormy Weather’ – both gorgeous tracks. The album will be out next month on Shock and also features songs like Cry Me A River, Summertime, and What A Difference A Day Makes.

3 Houses Down are an up&coming reggae band and they make their stage debut on COAST this week!
10 players all in their early twenties, this band plays fantastic reggae, both covers and their own originals. They’ve been together for a couple of years, feature 3 brothers and a bunch of mates, and play music that would make Bob proud. Check ‘em out!

Horomona Horo and Rodger Cunningham make their way from Rotorua into the Coast whare to demonstrate their skills with these beautiful traditional Maori instruments.
