Impostor Syndrome to release new single 'The Shrink'

15 July 2020 - 0 Comments

Tamaki Makaurau three piece Impostor Syndrome are proud to announce that The Shrink will be released on Wednesday, August 5th and is their first release with Empty Goon Records.

Made up of members Shannon Coulomb, Ryan Culleton and Scott Nicolson, The Shrink is the fourth release from the alt-rock newcomers. Vocalist Ryan Culleton explains that "the song is exploring the misinformation age that we live in today. Where the truth I seemingly pushed more and more to the sidelines, but it is still out there, somewhere."

"Originally composed entirely on piano, it's been kicking around for years until they recently settled on this arrangement. With mere hours to go until midnight on the eve of Covid Level 4, guitarist Shannon Coulomb frantically recorded as many piano parts as possible and raced out to get home. The end result seemingly conveys this sense of impending doom."
