What is 'new'? What makes something 'original'?
Self-inflicted creative doubts and projected frustration provides the lyrical framework for Nothing New, Transistor’s first release since 2018.
The upcoming single from Wellington’s psychedelic trio sees the group taking a deep dive into fuzzed-out guitars paired with a newfound love for synthesisers. Gone are the lucid grooves of 2018’s Soft Burning Silver EP; with propulsive rhythms, driving bass lines and electronic drum samples taking hold.
In less than 3 minutes, the vigorous, psychedelic overload of Transistor’s Nothing New will leave you in a whirlwind before it’s even over.
Transistor - Nothing New // Available on all streaming platforms Thursday, 23rd July.
