K M T P shares 'Home' from 'P.S. C U Soon' out today on Sunreturn

14 August 2020 - 0 Comments

Fresh from the bFM #1 single Acting Out and being announced on The Others Way line-up, rising indie musician K M T P share their debut EP P.S. C U Soon, and a self-made video for the new single Home.

K M T P says Home was written to accommodate feelings of misplacement and separation felt whilst living in the city.

"Growing up out near Waimauku, I always appreciated going back home and being surrounded by nature; something which is expressed throughout the song. Going home is something everyone can look forward to, whatever their home looks like. This song features my childhood home, a place where I spent growing as a person and learning about myself, as well as exploring and developing my musical potential."

P.S. C U Soon is a deeply personal collection of songs, showcasing life as a 20-something in Auckland city in a way that's immensely relatable. All songs on the EP were written, produced and engineered by K M T P and mastered by Jonathan Pearce (The Beths), with additional mixing by Amelia Berry, Rohan Evans and Morgan Allen (The Depot).

"This EP is a series of songs written over a year, exploring common emotions and feelings about life: thinking about moving back home from the big city, struggling with everyday obstacles, breaking out from bad situations, and ultimately, loving your friends along the way."

K M T P is on the line-up for The Others Way festival and has an album release show scheduled for 21 August at Whammy Backroom. Tickets for both events are on sale via Under The Radar.

P.S. C U Soon. is out today on Sunreturn via DRM - listen now and find out for yourself why K M T P is an artist to watch.
