Music News - Latest NZ On Air Funding Round

The latest round of NZ On Air new recording artist and video grants, the first for the 2006 / 07 funding year, have been confirmed this afternoon.
The good news is that this year, NZ On Air has budgeted to fund 170 music videos (at $5000 each), up from 160 last year. Of the 102 applications, 46 projects made it to the first shortlist, whittled down from there to 28 successful applications.
The list of successful applicants follows below.
On the Phase Four New Recording Artist front, of 155 applications received the creators of 10 songs were asked to provide a more detailed account of their plans, five of them eventually chosen for the dual $10,000 package (half toward the recording of the song, half toward shooting a video).
