The biggest hip-hop mixtape collection in Aotearoa is coming to you live! Live Nation and Mai FM are proud to present DJ Sir-Vere's Major Flavours, heading to Spark Arena on March 12, 2021.
Celebrating 20 years of the iconic Major Flavours compilations by New Zealand hip-hop pioneer, DJ Sir-Vere.
Hosted by the Mai FM Morning Crew, the massive day features a stacked lineup headlined by Katchafire, Stan Walker and a special showcase by DJ Sir-Vere across two stages in Spark Arena and The Tuning Fork, with carnival rides and entertainment taking over the plaza.
“Doing a gig of this size is something I've always wanted to do. In the early 2000s, I did the iconic Aotearoa Hip Hop Summits with Ali but doing one that is specifically curated by me has been a dream,” said DJ Sir-Vere.
“The Major Flavours mixtape series is a part of Aotearoa hip hop and RnB history, and now it's a full-blown Spark Arena festival event. I've got some of my super talented friends involved and doing it with my Mai whanau makes it something super special. Having two stages was important too. Not only that, but the front of Spark Arena will become a festival event with rides and entertainment. To top it off I'll be dropping a new Major Flavours mixtape too. To get your hands on it, you'll need to come to Major Flavours 2021 at Spark Arena and get amongst the festivities.”
The Live Nation presale begins 12pm Thursday November 12 until 11am Monday November 16.
General tickets go on sale 12pm Monday November 16.
