In 2020 Green Grove returns as a solo offering, focused on ambient and soundtrack soundscapes. With Of Isthmus' completion, Green Grove is poised to provide a heady aural experience.
Asked to reflect on his third album Fenwick says "Of Isthmus was made at the beginning of this year, for 3 months while I was based between the Isthmus of Auckland and Whangaruru. I wanted to put in to practice an approach
of writing by intuition, and to use space to give time for the brain to interact with the music. I think lockdown provided a sense of quiet that allowed me to make music freely, unconstrained by the pressures of work, socialising and performance.
It was a brief insight into what creative freedom could look like."
"I feel that what I have made sums up my surroundings and feelings during the writing of the album; In each piece I want to offer a different space or world. I hope that
this music can provide some form of solace to anyone who chooses to listen to it after this deeply hectic year."

Beginning in 2018 with the release of his chilled debut Night Music, Green Grove evolved into a live band in concurrence with the release of 2019's Machine Music on Sunreturn.
The album provided deep listening experience, and was followed by a string of shows around Aotearoa as well as appearances at festivals like The Others Way, Deep Dive and Field Of Dreams.
Citing influences that range from early
Electronic Library to electro-pop, Green Grove’s offerings run the gamut from lounge music and Stereolab synth-stylings, to patient ambience and Eno inspired minimalism.
