Show Me is a different vibe for the traditionally-reggae Wellington band and is heavily influenced by the sound coming out of Nigeria and Ghana. With international artists Burna Boy and WizKid dominating the Afrobeats genre and winning Grammys, Tomorrow People release their own take on that style. Show Me is laid-back with a Kiwi twist.
Show Me follows on from March release, My Guy, the current radio smash Just A Little Bit and the first release for #FirstFridays - Take It Away - Acoustic Remix.
Tomorrow People is Kenape Saupese, Te Aranga Savage, Snow Chase, Avina Kelekolio, Duane Te Whetu, Hennie Tui and Tana Tupai. They are one of Aotearoa’s most loved reggae bands, with a string of Gold and Platinum hits to their name.
Since emerging in 2010, Tomorrow People has released two full-length albums and two EPs, including 2018’s critically acclaimed BBQ Reggae, which debuted at #1 in the Official NZ Album Charts and earned them a number of awards.
Catch Tomorrow People on the first Friday* of every month in 2021 as the band explores multiple music genres and follow them on Spotify /YouTube / Facebook
* Please note where Friday is a public holiday in 2021, the release will move to the following Friday.
