This emerging singer-songwriter soothes us with a unique and authentic voice. Her lyrics are powerful and imaginative, painting visuals and feelings that are easily relatable. Her vulnerability and use of dynamics create a truly intimate experience as if reading from her journal. Although she is new to the scene, Noemi has been writing music since she was fourteen and at twenty five has decided to share her art, in hopes that her life experience and wisdom can help others.
She expresses that “music got me through some of the darkest times of my life and if I didn’t have this creative outlet, I’m not sure where or who I would be, today…” She further explains, “ I wrote this song for my mum and all the support from my female figures; My nana, friends and sisters, who constantly remind me of the strength and love I have been so lucky to have around me. Always helping me grow and figure out what the best version of myself is. ”
Toby Lloyd from Tiny Triumph Recordings produced Thanks To The Women and brought the song to life. Along with some unforgettable vocalists from Wellington, the song was then mastered by Chris Chetland from KOG studios and is set to be released on Mothers day.
Noemi is in the process of recording her debut EP and will be working with Toby Lloyd and other local artists in the months to come, so stay tuned! This Kiwi artist is one to follow.
