Indie-pop Kiwi artist And That is back with his final single Sailing Again, before the release of the upcoming debut album I Am The Mirror, out this Friday May 14.

Sailing Again encapsulates a genius overarching metaphor for the art of knowing when to stop drinking - or, when to “bring your sails in”. In it’s cruisy, catchy, summery vibe, Scott Cleary (And That) kept the single intentionally sitting on the lighter side of the discussion.
“I didn't want to write a song about drinking - I somehow got started along this nautical route and the song just found its way there. No matter how much I tried to pivot, all these sailing themes and the way they tied in with a night out on town was hard to get away from”.
The video, filmed by Si Moore of Bayly & Moore was shot at Avondale’s Hollywood Theatre. Cleary even acquired a small sailboat to feature onstage as the HMS And That.
“The video follows a very low budget community theatre crew as they put on Sailing Again. It features And That (myself) playing himself as well as every other member of the skeleton crew including esteemed director ‘Papa Blanco’.”

Singles I Am The Mirror, At Capacity and the latest release Sailing Again mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for And That, which launched in 2019 with the EP, This. Produced by Zac Farro (Paramore, Halfnoise, Becca Mancari) and mixed by Carlos de la Garza (Cold War Kids, M83, Cherry Glazerr), This was released by Zac’s own label, Congrats Records.
Sailing Again lives among the more poppy of songs on the record, but still sits within the overall easy going, feel-good and uncomplicated And That mantra that we love. The 11-track album I Am The Mirror is out this Friday May 14, and believe us, it’s worth the wait.
