'The Effing News' - the first single from NZ artist Anecdata's upcoming double album 'Undelete'

The Effing News is an off-kilter blend of Talking Heads guitars and Gary Numan keyboards, fed through a self-deprecating and distinctly Kiwi lens. The lyric video continues the news theme, offering a satirical take on the industry here and abroad (with surreal contributions from the AI-powered @nznewsbyabot Twitter account).

Entirely written, performed and produced by one guy in a home studio in west Auckland, Undelete is 20 songs that take in apocalyptic 80's pop (Agenda 21, The Best Move's Not to Play, Timezones), unsettling electronica (Generative Adverserial Network, Across the Sea) and indie guitars (Landlords, Billionaires).

Preorder the album at Bandcamp, or presave it to your Spotify library ahead of May 29.
