Adam Tukiri teams up with Hor Beats on new track 'Jesus Pesus'

25 June 2021 - 0 Comments

Following the well-received release of his album Son, Adam Tukiri is already back at it, with new track Jesus Pesus, created in collaboration with Hor. You may recognise Hor’s name, as he has created beats for Adam before, as well as them both being a member of Valleyside Boys. “The song is basically just showing what we both do best, beats & bars.”

Jesus Pesus has the raw lyrics and delivery that Adam is known for, accompanied by experimental beats by Hor, that flow and balance Adam’s words. It is lyrically honest and that can feel a bit unexpected in some ways, even to Adam himself, as he signs off the track with “sorry”. But it also a reflection around changes happening in Adam’s life, from becoming a new dad to changing up his performance name and still navigating the music industry.

This track is the first to be released from the project both Hor and Adam have collaborated on, titled Hariru. The project is set to release on the 30th July. “This project consists of dusty lofi beats, fresh off Hor’s SP404 and me saying whatever comes to my head.”
