Today she shares Redux, the third single from her upcoming debut MMXXI (out July 16 via Sunreturn).

With the previous singles Sunrise and Fortune deepState experimented within the genres like Electronica, Trip-Hop and Witch House. For Redux she slows down the pace, embracing Downtempo.

"I had a lot of fun making Redux" says Morgan. "It's my ode to 90's Downtempo, which used an emphasis on low tempo beats paired with ambient atmospheres. I got really obsessed with this genre whilst making MMXXI and I think that influence is very apparent in the EP, especially in Redux. I'm happy with the way it turned out and that I was able to incorporate the influence in with my own style."

To celebrate the release of MMXXI, deepState has organised a stacked line up to perform at Whammy Backroom featuring Sunreturn album Baby Zionov, as well as happy hardcore duo Van Staden & Bohm.

$10 pre-sales are available from Undertheradar.co.nz. Tickets will be $20 on the door.
