HATT unleashes their debut EP, Vol. 1: Emulate + Dissipate, the inaugural offering from a three-piece that your parents won't be ashamed of you for listening to. Gearing towards a live showcase on August 20th, 2021, at Ding Dong Lounge's iconic upstairs venue Dead Witch, HATT is forcing its way onto the national scene with an undeniably groovy takedown of heavy tunes and guerrilla-style secrecy.
Vol.1 is helmed largely by Aidan O'Loughlin, the axe-wielding, teeth-shredding, supercollider of energy who in recent years has earned his stripes fronting the alt-punk outfit On Tick. Continuing in his immutable guitar assault, Aidan brings heavier 'louds' and more meticulous 'quiets' to the HATT unit, ensnaring the audience with deceptively intricate guitar work to accompany his excoriating voice.
The foundations of HATT are built upon the bone shattering shots delivered by drummer R.C Conn, and Matt Perry's mercilessly pummeling basslines. Reuben and Matt have a storied history dating back to their years in the melodic-but-ferocious Halo of Ashes, and HATT is not the first time they have delivered the meat and potatoes for a three-man unit, as the two dished out the backbone for Punk Shadow Cult favorites Texas White Chicks just a few years ago.
This self-professed "power-trio for the modern man" launches into your eardrums with thrash-influenced sludge, sprinkling in a tinge of doom and the occasional melody into a cacophony of melodrama.
Vol. 1 will be available as an exclusive full-length stream on YouTube from August 20th, 2021 and will arrive on all major streaming services including Spotify and Apple Music come October 2021.
