Recorded at The Lab, the band captures their iconic live energy through a solid, punchy rhythm section matched with unbridled guitar fuzz. The massive, stadium-worthy sing-along choruses deliver what Clap Clap Riot fans have come to know and love.
Mama is an emotive call to come home. “It looks at the way we often try and avoid our problems by running away”, says Clap Clap Riot’s Dave Rowland. “It’s then about the realisation that we are
better to come back to where we all started, and face these problems head on.”
Clap Clap Riot have been teasing new music from their upcoming album, with the recent release of It’s Alright and now Mama.
They are also raring to head off on tour, the dates of which have been rescheduled twice due to COVID. The tour now kicks off in Wellington at Meow on Friday, February 4, 2022. Auckland’s Whammy Bar is
next on Saturday, February 5. The following week they head south to Christchurch’s Blue Smoke on Friday, February 11 and finally to Dunedin’s Dive Bar on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
