The release of the track also sees the band of brothers (Tyler - vocals, Joshua - keys, Brandford - Bass and Conrad - Lead Guitar) reveal an exciting collab with the Melbourne street culture label ‘Billy Bones’ by way of a limited-edition t-shirt.
Coterie have gone from strength to strength. They’ve amassed a cult following online, teamed-up with Aotearoa’s very own super band Six60 earlier this year on a trip to Auckland, and worked with surf legend Kelly Slater.
Produced by Robby Desa (Gretta Ray, Maya Cumming) Good Morning is the first independent release from the band, who recently parted ways with Island Records.
Tyler says: “It’s been really awesome to stand on our own feet for the first time since forming Coterie in 2018, we’ve been writing our best music and collaborating with some amazing people”.
Speaking about the upcoming single, he went on to say; “Good Morning is a feel-good singalong about those difficult times we all go through but come out the other end smiling”.
On the tee collaboration, the Billy Bones team says; “Coterie are one of the coolest bands around with a great creative brand and when the opportunity came up to create a something together we jumped on it”.
Coterie’s new single Good Morning is released Friday October 22 via Good Intent.
