Missy is pleased to announce the release of the companion album to Major Arcana (released 8 October). Minor Arcana adds another eight tracks to the catalog of one of the most prolific hyperpop writer/producers around, including lead single Hologram.
“Hologram is an exploration of extreme internal and external confusion. It uses dramatic, dark orchestral electronic-pop soundscapes to explore a feisty mind at war with itself. I really enjoyed writing Hologram, with the idea in mind that it should both be dancy as well as something people could relate to on a deeper level. It’s for anyone who has ever felt conflicted in a relationship with themselves or another person. I recorded the strings myself and layered them with synths using my trusty 808s to create a bouncing, ethereal track."
As with Major Arcana, the album image is by renowned English illustrator, photographer, writer, filmmaker, and musician Dave McKean.
