Teenage singer-songwriter Aidan Ripley is announcing the release of his new single Let Us Bloom on all platforms from October 22nd, 2021.
Aidan Ripley is a young performer and songwriter based in Auckland New Zealand with a dedicated following in the Hibiscus Coast and Te Atatu Peninsula. Over the years, he has explored different genres and styles within his music. In 2019 he released an alternative rock album titled Alien Freak via SoundCloud. Then- in 2020, he released three experimental art rock tracks including The Punchline, Clown and Nobody’s Better on all platforms. Gaining a following through constant performances in his area, Ripley is now ready for his next big release.
Let Us Bloom turns away from Ripley’s previous alternative rock sound and moves to a more stripped back acoustic setting. This new piece is a sensual love song with great focus on its poetic lyrics, dreamy vocals, and rich chord progressions. “I wanted this work to have a more genuine feeling. It is a poetic love song at its core- and for its style I found myself taking inspiration from songwriters like Leonard Cohen, Elliot Smith, and Bob Dylan.” Ripley recorded Let Us Bloom with his partner who is known by her stage name Caspian Wilder. She produced the original track and added her own backup vocals to the chorus. It was then sent to Kog studios where it was mastered by Chris Chetland for release.
Aidan Ripley is excited to share a positive song in trying times. Let Us Bloom was recorded as it was written- being a pure track that focuses on its romantic lyrics and beautiful guitar chords.
Let Us Bloom is available now on all streaming platforms
