With the setting of the summer sun emerges the new track and video collaboration between two of New Zealand’s most exciting Korean artists - Hans. & Taebz.
Whilst they say all good things take time, there’s also the school of thought that some things are just meant to be. Retro is a track that sits somewhere in between, as an initial product of singer Taebz and producer/director Luke Park’s (ACMPNY) creative musings.
Having first pieced together the house/downtempo inspired instrumental at home, RnB artist Taebz’s silky section was coined after a night out at a rooftop bar. His mellow delivery intertwines with Hans.’ who brings his trademark nonchalant flow juxtaposed with bars reminiscent of Korea’s hustle and bustle culture. Never one to shy from talking his bilingual talk, Hans. comments on the lacking self-care inside our burning systems.

An expression of nostalgia in summertime modernity, the video has Taebz and Hans. double suited up, tending to business at the waterfront: old-school desktop and Korean folding screen on deck.
