Auckland punk trio How Get today release their single titled Te Tai Pari, the first from an upcoming EP.
How Get is two parts Long Distance Runner, one part Carb on Carb. Last seen touring Australia in 2017, the band have been on hiatus, but are back with new recordings. Blistering previous releases Very Strong and This Isthmus were rich in both political imagery and ardor. The new collection Te Waea Moana takes a more personal turn, and changes language - all of the lyrics are in Te Reo Māori.
Te Tai Pari (high tide) is the first to be released and and reflects on both the value and limitations of the comfort we can offer our friends. While this year's touring plans and an appearance at Wellington indie festival Slow Note have been scuppered, the band look to celebrate the release in the new year.
