Oops, there he goes again. Aotearoa pop newcomer, Jason Parker has dropped It’s My Bad (Oops) the third single from his upcoming, independently released debut EP, How To Be Lonely.
With this release Jason invites you inside his pop obsessed world. Big hooks, big chorus, big personality.
Jason eats pop music for breakfast. His camp style, ear worm melodies and playful lyrics make for a delicious meal. Once you pop you can’t stop.
On It’s My Bad (Oops), Jason says, “I had been dating unsuccessfully, hoping to find someone special but kept getting cold feet when things felt too serious. Classic me! I decided to create a song that acted as an apology to past flames and a warning to future right swipes. Sonically I wanted it to sound like a love letter to my idols Britney Spears and Carly Rae Jepsen. Fun, flirty, capital P Pop music.”
To celebrate the release Jason has teamed up with the iconic Ivy Bar, Wellington to host and perform songs from his debut EP as well as give audiences a sneak peak of the It’s My Bad (Oops) official video.
Jason has been working non stop since being appearing as a contestant on the 2021 reboot of Popstars NZ. A big voice with big dreams, his pop star fantasy is becoming more of a reality with every release.
