After dropping 187 part 01, which entered the charts at #17 on the Official NZ Music Charts. Rosegang announces next single set for release 10th December 2021. The track Jesus In My Eyes part 02 is another real-life story expressed by Rosegang.
“As you know I always write about situations and issues in my life but there’s one topic I’ve never wrote about until now. Reason being is I didn’t want people to see me vulnerable or weak. All my other songs are true and written from the heart but I always had a wall built up. Not really letting anyone see the real me. 10 years ago when we left our home church I was confused lost and with no direction. I played in church all my life and I thought I was going to be a professional drummer and play till the very end. The main pastors accused my parents the ‘assistant pastors’ for trying to take over the church. Just to clarify my parents weren’t and the main pastors were jealous of my parents influence and amazing impact in people’s lives. As a family we stood down from our positions and left church. But the church split in half anyway. We all still love and respect our God but as for the people that’s a different story. So, for me that’s why I wrote Jesus In My Eyes. It’s basically me talking to God about everything that happened. It may not sound like a heavy topic but for me this is where my pain began to enter my heart and for the next 10 years…"
Rosegang and Phlimingo (Rosegang’s brother) recorded Jesus In My Eyes at home. It was then Mixed & Mastered by Ay Colcci (credits: Hp Boyz, Youngn Lipz).
