Three cheers for members of the IMNZ whanau who picked up Tuis at the Vodafone NZ Music Awards 2007 on October 18: John Psathas; Richard Nunns, the late Hirini Melbourne and the ‘Te Whaiao: Te Ku Te Whe’ remixers (both albums are on Rattle Records); Hollie Smith (3 awards); PNC; and Shapeshifter. Adding to the booty, trophies from the Vodafone Juice TV Awards held on October 8 were claimed by videomakers who made clips for IMNZ artists Scribe, Shapeshifter, Katchafire and Duchess. The 2007 third round recipients of Outward Sound grants include IMNZ artists Kora, Young Sid, Shapeshifter, So So Modern, Batucada Sound Machine, and Tangata Records, Die!Die!Die! and Cut Off Your Hands. NZSO timpanist Larry Reese has given up the last 9 months of his life to mastering the precise business of just how to bash the hell of this virtuoso music.

Minuit are all over internet forums in Czech Republic; they’re playing Prague on October 25 and Prague’s Radio 1 is recording the set and streaming it live. According to UK correspondent Jasper from Spacific.net.uk, “Minuit's tour is going incredibly well, with sell out crowds in London and rapturous receptions in Finland, Russia, Ireland, Berlin and Barcelona.”

The group will continue on to Germany for 2 more sold-out shows and then return to Australia where they will perform before heading to Asia at the beginning of 2008.
