She is one of Aotearoa music’s best kept secrets. Now after several years of wowing audiences around the globe, Wallace has returned home with exciting news for the year ahead.
With a sound steeped in a mosaic of soul, blues, hip-hop and electronica, alongside trademark jazz-influenced vocals and a magnetic presence, Wallace has collected an impressive list of accolades, from awards and five star reviews, to touring with renowned acts such as Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Morcheeba, Little Simz, Winston Surfshirt and Jordan Rakei– to name just a few.
Wallace’s talent has also granted her the opportunity to work in the studio with Dutch legends Kraak & Smaak; Australian hip-hop staples Thundamentals; Botswana-raised, Melbourne-based rapper Sampa The Great; laying vocals over beats by Godriguez, and working closely with producer Simon Cohen (behind Justin Bieber's global #1 song Love Yourself).
Now Wallace has returned to where the magic all began – Wellington, New Zealand – and she’s ready to reveal what’s she’s been cooking up in the studio. It includes the just-released single, upbeat electro jazz/soul Every Stroke, which holds significant meaning.

Every Stroke follows on from the 2021 single Venus, The Birth Of, 2020’s Good As Gold and 2019’s Jane Doe – all of which pave the way for the release of more exquisite tunes and an upcoming album coming later this year. A greatly-anticipated album to not only delight Wallace’s loyal fanbase, but provide the perfect introduction to those who are only just discovering this incomparable talent from Wellington.
