A wonderfully laid-back, harmonious and heart-felt tune, Everywhere You Go deals with feelings of separation, COVID-related or otherwise - and that while we are unable to hold our loved ones, or be in their physical presence, we can still hold them in our hearts and minds.

The stunning music video is also a creation borne out of these times, with Baker’s artistic network of highly-talented film professional neighbours and like-minded souls, collaborating together to visually communicate the story.
Filmed on location at Baker’s picturesque off-the-grid permaculture farm in the heart of the Kaipara, the combination of the beautiful landscapes and the heart of the song inspired a narrative which is both ageless and universal. The concept of our ancestral spirits calling us back to the home fires, of returning home to a place where we belong, where we feel empowered and connected – our foundation, our place in the world, our home.
An old Pūriri Tree, ‘Whaea Rākau’- resting in the heart of the Kaipara,
calls a karanga, to her young mokopuna (who is leaving to go into the world),
through the kaitiaki of the land, reminding her that her tupuna will always be with her
wherever she goes, waiting for when she returns. The Kaitiaki is her dad, Brian.
Haere atu rā e te Mokopuna, Hoki ki te Kainga ki ahau.
Featuring Rose Pickard, Maggie the Dog and the Maungaturoto/Paparoa whanau, respected theatre actor/director Julie Edwards worked with renowned cinematographer Fred Renata and other skilful local creatives to perfectly capture a look that suits the nature of the story.
In complete harmony with the song, this beautifully shot music video encapsulates a warm, organic vibe – totally in keeping with the gentle nature of the community Baker lives in, and from where the song originates from – straight from the heart.
