Saint Mercury is the artist name for electronic producer Mark Linton. With the nature of the element mercury, he is a shapeshifter of sound and does not belong to one genre. In a home studio environment he draws upon mysterious energies, artists of influence and chosen collaborators to bring us the spirit of Saint Mercury. Witness the emergence of a new sound -from an old energy.
Ominous Warning is the debut single for Saint Mercury and collaborator Shooless (vocals).
Ominous Warning creative origins:
Saint Mercury builds the foundation for a new track, then returns from a ritual on a cold winter's night to the home studio with a gift from a witch. As soon as Guy (Shooless) and lead guitarist of ‘The Comb’ Locky Buchanan hear the track, they make immediate plans to visit the studio. Upon arrival Guy (Shooless) is unaware of the gift brought back to the studio…
He then chooses a story from his personal notebook: A tale of an ancient snake-god and a witch who send us an ‘Ominous Warning’. A message of caution to the shady characters and deceiving pitfalls along our journey. A strange coincidence or the plans of something greater? We leave this up to you.
