A promising new flame in Aotearoa New Zealand’s R&B world, Reuben Fleetwood returns with a new single that is all kinds of relatable as we see the end of lockdowns and restrictions. Listen to Same Shit, Reuben’s new single co-written with none other than Matt Sadgrove (Sons of Zion) and brought to life with the young singer-songwriter’s smooth vocals and playful sensibility.
The release of Reuben’s debut single U, penned with the inimitable Rory Noble, signaled the arrival of a new voice in town and racked over 150k streams. Reuben’s next two offerings, Focus and the dreamy Kaleidoscope Evening expanded on the young artist from Whangamatā’s heady melodic R&B and penchant for melodies. In September last year, Reuben produced a double-sided EP that was released during Waiata Anthems Week, in which he shared a heartfelt, stripped-back track Haere Rā/So Do You.
