Legacy Media Group and 24KMedia have come together to launch an independent record label designed to house development artists that are aspiring to take their music careers to the next level. ‘24K Legacy Music’ is designed to help selected local artists in New Zealand who sign to the label have an opportunity to develop their sound, creative content, acquire tailor-made roll-out plans, improve their marketability, be mentored in the music business, grow their network, and be given strategic consultation on their music careers.
“The concept for 24K Legacy Music came to Lleyton (Watts, CEO of 24K Media) and I whilst talking about how we could develop the underground music scene in New Zealand more, to try and get the numerous talented artists in our country a platform to get themselves in the eyes of more people. We knew we could provide them with creative consulting to grow themselves, and give artists the tools they need to take themselves to the next level. We want to get artists prepared and nurtured into stars in our country, and to represented us abroad.” - Liam Suttie, Director, 24K Legacy Music.
Bringing together 24K Media’s talented team of creatives, who have themselves gained formidable attention domestically and internationally with their video production work, together with Legacy Media Group’s internationally connected marketing network enables the label to create a platform that encourages the artists to freely create music and bring alive their creative ideas.
24K Legacy Music also offers music distribution, public relations management, funding application assistance, and one-off project strategic marketing services for artists who aren’t directly signed to their label. The first release for the label is the distribution of 24K Media’s ‘TFK’ series to streaming services and includes Bad1, WildKid, BbyDreco, and Dime Finity, off of ‘TFK Season One’.
With the launch of this record label, 24K Legacy Music will be providing the platform and services for many underground artists in New Zealand who are looking to have label services fulfilled by an agency, without the implications of signing to a major label, or for artists who aren’t quite ready to sign to a major label but are looking to take that extra step to upgrade their careers.
