A trio of legendary forces (Three Houses Down, Fiji and Troy Kingi) have today revealed The Dream - an uplifting song of hope and unity in these trying times.

Tāmaki Makaurau’s reggae superstars, Three Houses Down, celebrated Polynesian artist, Fiji, and the latest recipient of the coveted Silver Scroll Award, Troy Kingi, acknowledge it’s been a trying time for many, as a result of the pandemic, war and environmental disasters such as the tsunami in Tonga. And so, The Dream is a song that speaks about the power of people’s unity and the hope it can bring in the face of adversity.

The Dream was produced, mixed and mastered in Kingston, Jamaica and is the first of four singles that will be released in the lead-up to a new Three Houses Down album, marking the band’s highly-anticipated return following their last smash single Smile in 2017. Formed in 2004 by brothers Rob, Sione and Charlie Pome, Three Houses Down is without question one of Aotearoa’s most successful reggae acts. The band has taken their unique blend of classic reggae with a Polynesian twist to the world, while topping charts, taking over the radio airwaves and amassing millions of streams across all digital platforms.

Three Houses Down is excited to have collaborated with the legendary Fijjian-born, Hawaiian-raised Fiji, who has long been a favourite on New Zealand radio and the live scene, thanks to his unmistakable voice and hits such as Sweet Darling and Give It To Me with Wellington’s Tomorrow People.

The band is also honoured to have worked on the song with the celebrated Troy Kingi (Te Arawa, Ngāpuhi, Te Whānau-ā-Apanui) whose quest to release 10 albums, in 10 genres in 10 years, has seen him win a swathe of awards, including the 2021 Silver Scroll for the song All Of Your Ships Have Sailed from the critically acclaimed album The Ghost Of Freddy Caesar

Together on The Dream, Tree Houses Down, Fiji and Troy Kingi prove that music is the universal language and through joining forces, they demonstrate there is strength in unity.
