No Life launch on to the Aotearoa heavy music scene with 3-track EP Radical Thoughts. The EP is designed to give people a starter rather than an entree, as they want you to know who they are right off the bat. Radical Thoughts isn’t just a sample pack, it is a very personal journey of Connor’s upbringing, summarised in 3 tracks.
The video for the lead single Backchat premiered on BVTV’s YouTube Channel
on the 1st May as the band wanted to kick off their launch right at the start of NZ Music Month. Shot by Whisko Creative,
it has gained just over 14,000 views this week alone. To push the release even further the band have also launched pre-orders for merch and are planning shows with one already locked in!
“The EP is about the strings of emotions we are faced with in a time of change. The songs were written after I lost some close friendships that were extremely important to me. I turned to my first emotion of anger which is what Backchat represents. Then turning to vices like alcohol to numb the pain I was feeling, that is expressed in Fractured. Lastly East of None which is about forgiveness, letting go of those emotions and surrounding yourself with good people. I wrote East of None about my best friend Nick Angel, who I reference as an easter egg in the song”. – Connor (Vocalist)

No Life are a 4-piece metalcore/nu-metalcore band based in the South Island of New Zealand. No Life has been around since their first formation in 2019. However, the band only played a couple of shows before going quiet. During the time since then, Connor’s (original member) determination was still there to get the band going again and release more music.
Now with a new line-up, music ready to go and a plan in place, they are here to make a real go of it.
