Mai Music has added another act to its local roster - Hamilton reggae act Katchafire.

The six-piece (including three members of one awesomely talented family), Katchafire have already had some success on Urban and Alt playlists with Giddy Up and established a fearsome live reputation during more than four years together.

This week's deal will see the band release the two current singles and an album, some time next summer, through Mai Music.

They also hit the road in July as part of the line-up for a series of North Island centre concerts being promoted by Mai FM.
