Kiwi songstress Loveta (Lauren Marshall) is lighting up dancefloors with her new single More Than Fun - a soulful, nu-disco-inspired, dance-pop anthem - guaranteed to get you dancing.
Featuring pumping bass lines, funky guitars, and show-stopping vocals that are sure to surprise and delight - More Than Fun brings energy reminiscent of past-meets-present, where it would be at home in a nightclub in the 70's as well as today.
“The song’s a celebration of life, love and freedom - for the nights you wish would never end and anything could happen. It’s a cheeky and playful expression of meeting someone on the dance floor, sparks fly, and you’re ready to see where the night takes you,” says Loveta.
For More Than Fun the artist has once again teamed up with fellow Christchurch-based musician/producer Wulfie (whose 2021 electronic love ballad Love Won’t Run Away was her debut into the music world), as well as award-winning engineer Simon Gooding and KOG Studios.
A spinning and sparkling More Than Fun nu-disco video brings the track to life visually. Made by Whisko Creative Matt Evlampieff, it was filmed in a giant warehouse filled with lava lamps, disco balls, sparkles, plants and colours that catch the eye. “The goal was to capture the personality of Loveta - classy, glamorous, energetic - with a touch of silliness!”
With an EP due out later in 2022, funded by NZ On Air, Loveta is definitely an artist to follow!
