Universal Music NZ alongside MusicHelps are proud to announce that they’re partnering with Six60, BENEE and Drax Project to launch Beats to Bags - an initiative to upcycle artist merchandise and produce exclusive limited-edition bags to raise funds for those in the music community who have been affected by illness, distress or hardship and the knock- on effects of COVID lockdown restrictions.
Using brand new, but unsold, Six60, BENEE and Drax Project t-shirts, they’re making 1,000 exclusive and limited-edition bags. There will be two types of bags manufactured: drawstring bags which will be gifted to a low-decile school around New Zealand for book and/or sports bags (watch Six60 surprise the deserving school on The Project this evening!), plus tote bags which will be sold via a dedicated website with net proceeds donated to MusicHelps.
When asked whether they’d want to be a part of the project, Aotearoa music royalty Six60, BENEE and Drax Project jumped at the opportunity to supply merchandise and help support the work that MusicHelps do throughout NZ.
Speaking to their involvement in Beats To Bags, Drax Project say: “We were stoked to donate some merch to help raise funds for those in the music industry that have been heavily affected by the pandemic over the last couple of years - get amongst!”
The tote bags are available to purchase now through the Beats To Bags website HERE, with net proceeds from each sale being donated to the foundation. Only 790 tote bags have been made available for purchase, so fans will have to be in quick to snap up this limited-edition release.
