Music News - Beacon Bloom & Sanoi release cult-documentary inspired music video with new single, 'Club Jesus'

Two of NZ's brightest melodic house acts, Beacon Bloom (Christchurch) and Sanoi (Auckland) have teamed up to release their iconic new single, Club Jesus, with a surreal, cult-documentary inspired music video.
Having crossed paths playing at some of NZ's most-loved music festivals, Beacon Bloom and Sanoi instantly connected over their love of melodic, groove-based house music and decided to get into the studio together.
Club Jesus cleverly weaves Beacon Bloom's ethereal vocals with Sanoi's soaring synth lines and undeniable low-end groove. The finale of the song culminates in an epic choir rising up over an uplifting and deeply danceable beat. The collaboration between Beacon Bloom and Sanoi seems to be a match made in house music heaven.
Inspired by 1970's movie production, the 'music film' is visually striking - both surreal and cinematic. Shot by Caleb Macdonald (Kita Films), the video follows the story of Club Jesus and his interactions with an ominous collection of cult members. Beautifully crafted, it contrasts some of the most iconic locations in the South Island - a neo-gothic castle, the Issac Theatre Royal, and an epic slow-zoom across the snow-filled foothills of Aoraki / Mt Cook - with everyday scenes (a classic NZ Dairy and Fish & Chip shop) - all set within the psychedelic film-grain Beacon Bloom universe.
Having burst onto the melodic house scene, Beacon Bloom are going from strength to strength with releases on a variety of top-tier electronic labels including Zerothree, Purified and Stil Vor Talent. With recognition from Rufus du Sol, Paul Oakenfold and Snoop Dogg, the Christchurch based group is on the rise with a raft of exciting collaborations and releases set for the rest of the year.
Originally hailing from Germany, Sanoi is a top-shelf producer and DJ who moves seamlessly across warm, melodic, groove-driven techno and beyond. Having graced the stages of many of NZ's finest festivals and clubs, Sanoi is currently working on his sophomore album to be released through LOOP (NZ).
