With New Zealand Music Week already well underway on b.net stations across the nation, die hard New Zealand music fans may well be wondering what to do when it all wraps up come Sunday May 12th... un-chart-ed's advice would be to flip to the AM band and enjoy another action packed week of all Aotearoa sounds courtesy of National Radio, who celebrate their own New Zealand Music Week from Monday 13th - Sunday 19th May.
Not content with raising local music levels from their standard 35% to 100% for the whole week, National Radio will also play host to a range of specially produced radio programmes including live recordings from last summer's Rippon Music Festival in Wanaka and Pacifika 2002 Festival in Auckland, a New Zealand electronic music showcase hosted by .leyton of rotor+, epsilon-blue and son.sine and documentaries covering everything from the states of the New Zealand contemporary pop music and independent recording scenes to an in-depth profile on New Zealand's longest surviving barn dance band The Pioneer Pog 'n' Scroggin Bush Band.
Thanks to un-chart-ed for this story.
