Black Jacket's new single I Don't Mind heralds the arrival of their latest body of work, the new EP Take It All. An energetic release, ‘I Don’t Mind’ warmly induces an honest rock essence, enticing you to the dance floor. This 5-piece indie-alt rock band from Auckland have just released their new 5-track EP of fine Garage-rock, with elements of Pop, Punk, Blues and Jazz. Vocalist Levi Crump describes I Don't Mind as a scream, a whimper, and a cry, from someone who is frustrated in their relationship and has no control over what's going on”.
With rustic ‘rock n roll’ authenticity, Black Jacket are a refreshing sonic reminder of an era of real bands, with real musicians Rich with humble homegrown flavour.
With the band keen to start exhibiting more of their musical diversity, Take It All was produced by David Atai of Nesian Mystik and touches on themes of redemption, frustration, and self-reflection.
