La Felix has returned with the release of his new single If Perfect Was Real, which sees him link up with American/Brooklyn singer Wass.
With Wass’ smoky vocals over La Felix’s smooth Nudisco production, the track starts off quiet and empty, then gains momentum as it builds into an energetic emotional outburst.
"It's about being stuck in a failing relationship, dreaming about a “what if?” scenario.” says La Felix
Funded by NZ on Air, the single is accompanied by an equally compelling video, directed by Matthew Brennan.
On the video, La Felix explains; “The black phone represents her over controlling boyfriend who steadily increases his grip on her. She fights and struggles to get out until she finally cuts the cord (literally) and gets away from him to start a new life/relationship.”
La Felix has landed some huge syncs with Netflix (Insatiable, Lucifer, Partner track), Amazon Prime (My Fake Boyfriend), Yamaha, Jim Beam and many more.
He has since amassed over 20 million streams across all DSP platforms thanks to his growing popularity as a remixer and his successful singles. He has done remixes for a variety of artists including RAC, Miami Horror,12AM, DCUP, Dylan Rockoff, The Shadowboxers, My Brothers And I, The Funk Hunters, Penny & Sparrow, Todd Carey ft. Shwazye and 88/89.
