Music News - Iris G and JARNA Release New Track

Iris G and JARNA Release New Track

17 February 2023 - 0 Comments

'The Collective' documentary star and Pacific music award’s Philip Fuemana Most Promising Artist recipient, Iris G and JARNA start the year off strong, with their brand new Te Reo R&B track titled Aroha Tāoke funded by Te Mangai Paho.

Through the wananga 'Taniwha' held at Roundhead Studio, Iris G and JARNA created this smooth Te Reo track unlike any other. The song gives the listener an insight to the duo’s own experience of being used to toxic love, but now finding a healthier love within each other. Stuck in the familiarity of toxic love, Iris G and JARNA both end up facing a choice: Do we want our love to be toxic or healthy?

With a silky 808 and luscious chords, it helps shed light on the passionate lyrics. They hope to help those in need of some guidance when it may feel hard to leave a destructive situation. This is only the beginning for the dynamic duo, so make sure to keep a close eye on these two.
