Iconic New Zealand company Cookie Time will officially adopt popular roots/rocks band dDub this Thursday 30 April, to mark the start of NZ Music Month 2009.
The adoption ceremony will be held at 12.30pm at Radar Records, Cashel Street Christchurch, and will include the signing of a specially tailored New Zealand adoption certificate, formally witnessed by renowned Kiwi entertainer Ray Columbus OBE.CM.
Cookie Time founder Michael Mayell, dDub lead singer Derek Browne and Ray Columbus will be available for interview.
As part of the adoption, Cookie Time is launching a range of initiatives to help promote dDub during Music Month, including free dDub MP3 downloads; 350,000 stickers promoting the downloads on cookies to be sold during Music Month; limited edition dDub Cookie Sandwiches (dDub’s Awake at Dawn album sandwiched between two Chocolate Chip cookies); and a free outdoor concert in Christchurch, Chill on the Terrace, on 23 May.
