The wait is over! Emo fans in Auckland can finally dust off
their black eyeliner and break out the skinny jeans as My Chemical Romance is
finally set to rock The Outer Fields on Saturday 11 March 2023. After two
Covid-related cancellations, the band is ready to unleash their emo anthems on
Tāmaki Makaurau, and we couldn't be more excited!
But wait, there's more! The city is gearing up for a full weekend of emo
madness with a line-up of events that would make even Gerard Way proud. On
Friday 10 March at Dead Witch, the 2nd level of Ding Dong Lounge, we've got a
killer lineup of bands that will transport you back to the mid-2000's. From
Wellington's emo darlings Holloway to Tāmaki Makaurau's own Finger Tight, and
Palmy's Bad Schematics to Hawke's Bay's post-pop-punk kings Mirrored Walls,
this is the pity party you don't want to miss!
But the emo madness doesn't stop there! On Saturday 11 March after My Chemical
Romance rock The Outer Fields, Ding Dong Lounge is hosting a 3-level Pop Punk
Emo Party that will leave your heart bursting with emo joy. We've got live
bands Flirting With Disaster and guests at Dead Witch ready to blow your mind,
and we'll be spinning the best Pop Punk and Emo bangers all night long in our
brand spanking new venue AUX on level 3.
So, grab your black eyeliner and your favorite My Chemical Romance t-shirt, and
get ready to party like it's 2005! Head over to Ding Dong Lounge at 26 Wyndham
St, Auckland CBD to join the emo apocalypse. Both events are R18, so don't
forget your ID. Let's make this a night to remember!
