Kiwi singer, Jennifer K. Austin has released her first single Cards off of her new EP, following her second studio album Journey in 2020.
Cards was written by Jennifer and produced by Chris McCollum at The Lab Studios. The EP is set to be released on April 8th. This body of work has been highly influenced by her favourite eras of music and giving a heavy nod to the 60’s through to the 90’s. Chris and Jennifer wanted to create music that was real, authentic and fresh but still holding a vulnerable story in each track.
Teaming up with retro rock band Zephyr Love, Jennifer is set to perform a double release tour around New Zealand with 8 incredible shows. The first stop will be in Hamilton at the Nivara Lounge April 8th 2023 with support from Looking for Alaska and will travel through Wellington, Taupo, Hastings, New Plymouth, Tauranga, Gisborne and ends in Auckland on April 22nd at Anthology Lounge with support from Cloudy.
Jennifer K. Austin is an American born actor, singer and songwriter. Piggy-backing off her emotionally charged second album Journey she wanted to show a more playful side to her stories. Her upcoming new music has been cooking for 2 years waiting to be birthed. This EP holds 5 versatile tracks ranging from throwback 90’s pop to upbeat Animal-esque 60’s organ rock. Bringing in a new flavour to reminiscent feels, these tracks create a nostalgic world for the listener. Jennifer has poured her diary into her music and hopes to inspire others to reconnect with their memoire.
