Ivy add a fifth band member and head back into the studio

11 April 2023 - 0 Comments

Progressive rock band Ivy have added Louis Stevenson to their existing four-piece ensemble. Louis plays violin and has featured in an intense run of live performances in Dunedin and Queenstown at the start of this year.

James Axton, lead guitarist said “Louis recorded with us on Morning’s Wake (on the EP For The Sake of It) and we love the extra dimension that he brought to that track. He has also featured at all of our gigs this year, so it was logical to make him an official band member. We are so happy that he accepted! With our new recordings we have been blown away by the energy and sheer drama that he has added to our music.”

Louis said “Joining Ivy is a big thrill for me. I love what the guys are doing and can’t wait to be even more involved!"

Ivy are set to release a new single, Heartless in just a few weeks’ time.
