Alt-pop rocker MACEY is ready to showcase more of his exceptional talent – gearing up to release his new album The Lovers set for a June 30th arrival.
MACEY is unafraid to expose the anxiety and insecurities that come with life, love, and loss; his beautiful sound bringing together crunchy guitars, live driving drums, soaring vocals and lyrics that earnestly spill his truth.
With his musical debut in 2022, The Lovers Side A spanned the significant moments of the past two years of his life, navigating the constant changes, highs, low and heartbreaks. The Lovers Side B will complete his debut album.
MACEY’s first music of 2023, single Who Really Gets What They Want out today, gives fans a taste to Side B. The song throws caution to the wind, and we see MACEY indulge sadness and anger. Reminiscent of emotive storytellers from The Smiths to The Cure, the heartbreaking lyrics beg the question, “what’s really the point?”.
“It’s something we all do sometimes, and something I’m learning to manage. Jealousy and fear of missing out are my two biggest demons and sometimes they win” says MACEY.
